SoccerPlus Education Center’s President, Tony DiCicco is a native of the greater Hartford area and was the former US Women’s National Soccer Team coach winning a World Cup in 1999 and leading the US Women to an Olympic Gold in Atlanta in 1996.  Tony has been involved directly with all the company programs from the creation.

SoccerPlus Education Center’s MissionThe SoccerPlus Education Center is a Connecticut-based 501-c-3 non-profit service organization. SoccerPlus Education Center strives to develop not only better soccer players, but better citizens. This is achieved through educational programs, seminars, community outreach events and individual mentoring on and off the soccer field. SoccerPlus uses the game of soccer to facilitate character development.

SoccerPlus Education Center programs, activities, accomplishments

The SoccerPlus Education Center is focused on three primary programs that work together:

Boxes of gear have been delivered to a groups in El Salvador, Brazil, to Ethan Zohn’s Grassroots program in Africa, as well as locally in downtown Hartford and to the Project Goal Program in Providence, R.I.

II. ED CENTER PRESENTATIONS – hosts presentations on a variety of topics free of charge for the local community in an effort to teach important life skills. Presentations have been well-attended (30- 320 attendees) and supported by the local community: including FSASoccerPlus FC players and parents, local college students, high school and club coaches, as well as a variety of other groups.
